Seaine is a Sitter of the White Ajah. She was given the mission of hunting down the traitors within the White Tower at the behest of Elaida, the false Amyrlin in the Tower. Obviously, she sided with the Tower during the split. During the course of Seaine's interrogations, she actually uncovered the existence of the Black Ajah within the Tower. By using the Oath Rod, she was able to contain any outbreaks of information and use the ones she discovered to hunt down the remaining Black Ajah within the Tower.
Eventually, she and the others attempt to force Egwene to swear fealty to them, but she refuses.
